Opinions and Advice on Pinterest

I received my invite to Pinterest a little over a month ago and I am now learning about how important it is for bloggers and anybody who is working at home! It is still by invite, but you can go to and request an invite.  It takes a couple days or so and you should get your invite.  It can be linked to your Facebook so this can be a great concept.

When I first received my invite, I rushed over and started to tweek my account there.  I didn't really do anything with it in the beginning and kind of brushed it aside.  At first glance, I didn't get the concept behind how this would be so great.  I have been talking with others who are using it and loving it, and also seeing the "pin it" button all over people's sites and blogs.  They made me realize that if I don't start using it now, I may be missing out on a wonderful concept!

Are you on Pinterest yet? I am not an expert on it and if anybody has experience that they would like to share with us, please feel free to share.  Whether you add a comment or looking to do a guest post, I would love to learn more about this! I am learning the ropes, but I know I have plenty of room to learn more.

If you are not on Pinterest yet, you really need to get moving over there.  Anybody who works at home, especially if you have a blog, can benefit from this.  Anytime somebody shares a picture from your site, your url is shown above it.  If somebody likes what they see, they will probably visit your site to find out more about the picture.

If you have information to share with my readers and would rather post instead of leaving a comment, please email me at  I will be learning more myself and sharing what I have learned once I get to know more of what I am doing there.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Thanks for posting this article Dawn. I am still trying to figure it out also!

  2. Hi Michelle!

Yeah it is a totally different concept, but I can see it being a big success for bloggers. We will have to keep each other informed :)

  3. I have been on Pinterest for about a year now and I am so addicted to it. It took me awhile to figure out how it works and how to best use it for the good of my business. Finally, I have seen the light!

  4. I can't believe you tell people how to work from home and have just now got invited to Pinterest! Social media is the way to get traffic to your online sites, because face it, you're not going to make a lot of money working from home if you don't have traffic.

  5. Hi Wade,

I wasn't sure about the sharing policy in the beginning and chose not to join in the beginning. I did end up deciding to request my invite and join. I like using it now for my other blog. I haven't really used it for this one yet.

  6. No offense intended. But Pinterest is slowly making an impact on the social media world. I like your blog and would like to connect with you in a link exchange. Maybe we could brain storm some blogging theories...!

  7. I didn't take offense I am always happy to here my readers views :) I was just on the edge with trying Pinterest in the beginning. I did notice it has really worked well for my other blog, it has a lot of pictures with the posts. I really should do more pictures on this blog to be pinned!

We can do a link exchange and brain storming would be great!
